Position Overview:
The Senior Farm & Commercial Underwriting Manager leads Grange Insurance Association's (GIA) farm and commercial underwriting team. The incumbent serves as an in-house farm and commercial underwriting expert and shares product and market knowledge with staff and leadership.
Leads and empowers a high-performing farm/agribusiness/commercial team:
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Fosters a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation.
Build and maintain strategic relationships:
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and other departments, to ensure alignment and support for farm initiatives.
- Cultivates external partnerships with industry vendors, agents, and customers to secure favorable terms and expand market reach.
Optimizes farm/agribusiness/commercial operations:
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate losses and ensure financial stability.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and maximize profitability.
- Analyzes market trends and data to make informed decisions about risk acquisition and retention.
Comprehensive Benefits:
- Pay Range: $98,288-$190,795
- Flexible hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in Seattle office required)
