St Johns Church of Cotton Plant Ocala Florida is seeking a Youth/Young Family minister. This person will have experience working with young people in a church setting and/or professionally through community youth programs. This person will report to the Senior Pastor and work with our youth volunteers. St Johns is a rural church west of Ocala Florida. The position will be either part time or full time depending on skill set and availability; and, compensation will depend on experience and demonstrated skill set for youth ministry.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly Responsibilities will take 25 to 40 Hours weekly.
- Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for youth and young families, fostering their spiritual development.
- Coordinate and lead a Praise Team of singers for contemporary worship services.
- Select and arrange contemporary worship music that resonates with the congregation.
- Recruit, train, and mentor Praise Team members.
- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other church leaders to align youth and music ministry goals with the overall vision of the church.
- Organize and lead youth events, retreats, and mission trips.
- Build strong relationships with youth, young families, and volunteers.
- Manage and maintain music equipment and resources.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in youth and young family ministry.
- Strong musical abilities, including vocal and instrumental skills.
- Experience leading and coordinating a contemporary worship Praise Team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- A passion for nurturing the spiritual growth of young people and families.
- A commitment to the values and mission of St. Johns Church.
