Critical Care experience 2 years
Typical Expectations: Manage ICU patients with acute or chronic respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, and other critical conditions.
Perform procedures such as:
- Endotracheal intubation
- Arterial line placement
- Central venous catheter placement
- Thoracentesis and paracentesis
Interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., ABGs, chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests).
Outpatient Pulmonary Care:
- Evaluate and manage chronic conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep apnea.
- Educate patients on disease management, smoking cessation, and oxygen therapy.
Emergency Response: Participate in rapid response and code blue teams.
