Description: Locums - Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiothoracic Surgery Greenville, South Carolina
(Hospital-Based Vein Harvesting & Cardiac Surgical Assist EPIC EMR)
Assignment Overview:
Start Date: October 6, 2025
Duration: 26 weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (8-hour guarantee)
OT: Paid after 8 hours daily
Call Requirements:
Weekdays: 5% (mostly ER call)
Weekends: 75%
Setting: 90% Hospital / 10% Clinic (Outpatient + Inpatient Acute Care)
Facility Size: 720 beds
EMR: Epic
Daily Volume:
Approx. 10 patients/day
5 Admissions
5 ICU
4 Surgeries
Support Staff: 4 physicians + 7 mid-level providers
Patient Demographics:
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Must be able to:
Harvest vein
First assist surgeon on all open-heart cases
Perform suturing, pre/post-op surgical care
Credentials Required:
South Carolina Medical License: Active & Required - No exceptions
ACLS Certification: Required
DEA: Required
