Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
- Board Certification
- License in any State or US territory
- Active, unrestricted DEA license (Schedules IIV)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- ATLS
- Minimum 6 months experience. (No lapse in clinical practice exceeding six months)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional midwifery care to women and newborns, including high-risk obstetric care.
- Conduct history and physicals, manage labor and delivery, and perform spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
- Prescribe and administer medications and anesthesia; perform procedures such as episiotomy and repair.
- Provide postpartum, family planning, and gynecological services.
- Utilize facility's Electronic Health Records (EHR) system for documentation.
- Participate in medical staff meetings, quality assurance, peer reviews, and interdisciplinary care planning.
- Collaborate with and refer to other health providers as necessary.
- Educate patients, families, and health professionals on maternal-child health.
- Comply with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS regulations.
- Any other duties as assigned.
