Description: Join Our Team as a Physician in Anesthesiology in Coos Bay, OR Facility Overview:
We are a Level III trauma center located in Coos Bay, Oregon, and the largest hospital on the Southern Coast of Oregon, serving a catchment area of over 320,000. Our well-established, hospital-employed group is seeking an additional Board Eligible/Board Certified Anesthesiologist to join our team. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers a comprehensive range of services including cardiology, emergency care, surgical care, and more. Job Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and support to the Anesthesia Department.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Physicians and CRNAs, with CRNAs practicing independently.
- Manage anesthesia for a variety of cases excluding heads and hearts, focusing on healthy pediatric patients.
- Conduct pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op management.
- Participate in paid call duties, shared equitably among the team.
- Provide coverage for obstetric cases, including epidurals and C-sections, as necessary.
- Utilize Epic electronic health records for managing patient information.
- Participate in a quality-focused partnership with Oregon Health and Sciences University.
Qualifications: - Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology (REQUIRED).
- Ability to demonstrate ties to Oregon (i.e., family in the area or previous residence).
- Clean malpractice history and background.
- Ability to manage a variety of anesthesia blocks and procedures.
- Experience working in a Level III trauma center is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements: - Oregon medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
- Submission of a copy of the NPDB self-query report - REQUIRED.
