New Colon/Rectal Surgery Locums Job in Georgia

Our client in Georgia is losing one of their Colon Rectal Surgeons and will need assistance with coverage while they recruit.

Details/Requirements for Assignment :

- Active Georgia license and Board Certification by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery or General Surgery required. Must have active ACLS and BLS
- Coverage request: 1 full week per month (7 consecutive shifts)-12-hour shifts
- Covering the ED, IP and consults and emergency procedures and clinic. Shift is 7AM-6PM. Call will start at 6PM to cover ED, IP consults/procedures and clinic call.
- Will cover as soon as credentialed and ongoing for at least 6 months (credentialing timeframe is 120+ days) -Mid December start
- Hospital has a doctor retiring, which is the reason for the opening
- Lower abdominal/digestive tract procedures colonoscopies, colon resections, Anoscopies, rectal surgery
- No APP support but there are 3 docs in the practice that will be available in the clinic or OR if support is needed
- Can expect to see a mix of 12-15 consults/procedures per shift and 1-3 cases when on call.
- EMR is EPIC, hospital is 503 beds
