UMCS Systems Administrator/Configuration Support | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Description: Security Clearance Required: Secret Clearance Primary Responsibilities: This position provides technical support to the Unmanned Mission Control Station (UMCS) AIRWorks Team focusing on supporting development and review of the UMCS software/hardware/network configuration, performance, and security. The Program Analyst will support the AIRWorks UMCS Team with the: Development of UMCS Systems Administrator Manual UMCS site verifications to include system configuration set-up Development/review of UMCS IS/IT maintenance/trouble shooting procedures and documentation Support of IS/IT maintenance planning for system fielding Tasks Performed: System Administrators will validate IS/IT configurations, support system trouble shooting, review System Administrator documentation, support set up and validation for site installations, develop fault isolation procedures and document the steps necessary for system restoration Other duties and responsibilities may include: Installation and configuration of system software/hardware and networks/servers. Documenting system performance during UMCS installation verification process Document/verify system security configuration Coordination with system cyber team for system check-out, monitoring of system for security risks, and support of security protocols. Support the review and analysis of UMCS IS/IT maintenance planning: Support development of draft control station system administrator manual and processes Analyze IS/IT system maintenance procedures for gaps Support the validation of system configuration Required Education/Experience: BS/BA, or allowable substitution reflective of labor category. Ten (10) years Information System (IS)/Information Technology (IT) maintenance experience including support of CISCO switches/systems, CISCO Firewall, server and server environment support, and support of system scans and application of patches. Allowable Education/ Experience Substitutions: Six (6) years additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus four (4) years additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. JOURNEYMAN: A Journeyman level person within a labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a BA/BS degree. Desired Experience/Education: Ability to communicate and adapt well in dynamic team environments Good organizational skills Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge and experience in IS/IT Systems Administrator processes and standard documentation requirements.
