The Staff Development - Infection Control professional serves as a vital resource for the center, ensuring adherence to quality systems, clinical practice guidelines, specialty programs, regulations, and safe business practices. This role is responsible for assessing the training needs of nursing staff and developing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting staff development programs, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for nursing department personnel. Additionally, this position is designated as the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator, overseeing the application of infection control guidelines. Responsibilities: Oversees the implementation and documentation of the orientation plan for nursing staff and contractors. Collaborates with leadership to plan, coordinate, and conduct training aligned with federal, state, local, and company requirements. Provides ongoing education on the quality management system and quality improvement initiatives to facility staff. Initiates and monitors performance improvement plans within the quality management system. Reviews, analyzes, and reports infection control trends. Identifies infection control concerns and conducts process and outcome monitoring.
