Responsibilities
- The Histotechnologist functions as a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for pre-analytical specimen preparation and processing, embedding, microtomy, and maintaining the equipment under the direction of the Histology/Pathology department leadership, Pathologist, or designee. The position may also perform specimen grossing of surgically removed tissue under the supervision of the Pathologist.

- All duties performed will be within the guidelines set forth by regulatory and hospital guidelines to maintain, manage, and assure specimen integrity.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's in histotechnology, laboratory science obtained from an accredited institution, OR bachelor's in biology or chemistry with education /training equivalent.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Experience within a clinical or anatomic pathology department.
- 6 months' experience as a Histotechnician.
Pay Range Minimum: $29.48/Hr.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
