Join a thriving breast surgical oncology practice supporting a busy surgeon dedicated to excellence in patient care. This role involves managing both inpatient and outpatient care, overseeing postoperative management, conducting breast cancer risk assessments, and providing ongoing surveillance. You'll be an integral member of a close-knit, highly experienced team including 1 surgeon, 2 RNs, 1 MA, and 1 surgery scheduler.
• Dynamic Clinical Role: Participate in all aspects of breast oncology care, from preoperative assessments to postoperative follow-ups, ensuring comprehensive care for patients. • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to quality care and innovative treatment approaches. • Professional Growth: Opportunity to attend Breast Cancer Conferences, engage in rotations with other oncology providers, and receive extensive Epic computer training covering inpatient and outpatient note templates, charting, ordering, in-basket review, staff messaging, and more. • Technology & Training: Benefit from remote technology access including Telmediq, Imprivata, Epic Haiku, Outlook, and Citrix, as well as a thorough orientation and training program that includes tours of clinics and hospitals (INW Deaconess and Valley Hospitals).
• Experience in breast surgical oncology is highly desired - this is the first APP position supporting a busy surgeon, so candidates with a strong background in breast care will excel. • APP Breast Certification through the American Society of Breast Surgeons is preferred (or the ability to initiate certification after six months in the breast surgery practice). • Must be credentialed with INW Deaconess and Valley Hospitals.
