We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Utility and Interconnection Manager with a strong background in utility services to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only manage and oversee document control processes but will also be instrumental in complex interconnection planning projects. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Pure Power is an engineering firm specializing in designing big, challenging, and high-profile Solar PV systems. As a full-service engineering firm, we create the electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits, and construction, as well as supporting the lead up to the full engineering drawings, primarily interconnection support and electrical/structural feasibility studies. An essential aspect of our design is the structural analysis of buildings and structures that support the solar PV system.

Key Responsibilities
- Document Management: Oversee the creation, revision, storage, and retrieval of interconnection documents. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Utility Coordination: Collaborate with utility companies to ensure compliance with interconnection standards and processes. Facilitate communication and documentation flow between internal teams and external utility stakeholders.
- Interconnection Planning: Participate in the planning and design of complex interconnection projects. Analyze and interpret technical requirements, and ensure that all plans are in alignment with legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Compliance Assurance: Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable interconnection codes, standards, and regulations. Provide guidance and support to project teams on compliance-related matters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all interconnection document-related inquiries from internal teams, utility partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to document control and interconnection planning processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on document management best practices and interconnection planning procedures.
- Data Analysis: Analyze interconnection-related data to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Travel: Some travel may be required to meet with utility partners, clients and regulatory bodies.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in document management, with at least 3 years in a utility-focused role. Experience in interconnection planning is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of interconnection standards and regulations. Familiarity with utility coordination processes and requirements.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, utility partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of compliance requirements related to interconnection planning and utility services.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in document management systems and software. Familiarity with interconnection planning tools and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degrees: Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications related to document management or utility services.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership or managerial role within a utility company or related industry.
- Project Management: Project management certification or experience in managing large-scale interconnection projects.
Location
This position will be based out of our exciting downtown Hoboken, NJ Headquarters with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule. We are next to public transportation options from NYC and Northern NJ. We also provide a parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office and for those that utilize public transportation, we will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the office.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. We pay 100% of our employee medical, dental, and vision benefits costs, offer 401k matching, commuter benefits and much more!
Salary Range: $140,000-$175,000
