Description: Locum Tenens - Emergency Medicine NP/PA OpeningLocation: Bath, New YorkJoin a collaborative and well-supported rural emergency team in upstate New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider looking to build experience in a critical care setting with flexibility in scheduling and a manageable patient load.Position Highlights:
Role: Emergency Medicine APP overseeing a small Observation Unit (2-3 patients)
Start Date: 8/4 - 8/8 and then 1 week per month (5 days consecutive) ongoing
Shift Options: 12-hour shifts, 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM
Schedule: Must be flexible and able to work in blocks
Patient Volume: Approx. 26 patients per day (9,500 annually)
Setting: Rural ED with single physician coverage
No Fast-Track Area
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility: Rounding and patient care in the Observation Unit
Assist in the Emergency Department under direct supervision of ED physician when not covering Obs Unit and addressing lower acuity ED patients
Work collaboratively with on-site physician and nursing team
EPIC used for documentation
Requirements:
Board Certified NP or PA
Active New York license required
DEA, BLS, ACLS required
New grads welcome with confidence in emergency or acute care settings
Must be able to commit to block scheduling
