Description: Momentum Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated MD/DO for a Locum or Permanent Urgent Care Physician position in Fort Madison and Mount Pleasant, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality urgent care services in a dynamic and supportive healthcare setting. Position: Locum/Permanent MD/DO - Urgent Care Physician Location: Fort Madison & Mount Pleasant, Iowa Key Responsibilities: Provide urgent care services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries. Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision & drainage. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and lab work. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and medical assistants, to ensure excellent patient care. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation. Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible MD/DO in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine with Urgent Care experience. Active Iowa medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting preferred. Proficiency in common urgent care procedures.
