Description: Locum NP/PA - Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Bath, NY Join a dedicated team in Bath, New York, where we are seeking a locum Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to oversee the observation unit at a community hospital. This facility, known for its commitment to patient care, provides an excellent opportunity for both new and experienced providers in a rural emergency department setting. Job Responsibilities: - Oversee the observation unit with 2-3 patients; new graduates welcome.
- Immediate availability for ongoing coverage needed (minimum of 1 week per week).
- Work 12-hour shifts with flexibility for day and night shifts.
- Assist in the emergency room under the supervision of the ED physician when not rounding in the observation unit.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and handle a census of approximately 26 patients per day.
- Shift hours are either 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Single provider coverage in the observation unit.
Qualifications: - Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
- Active New York State license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NY DEA registration.
- Ability to work blocks is required.
- Must be available for shifts starting from 8/4.
License and Certification Requirements: - Active New York State Medical License.
- Board Certification is mandatory.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- DEA registration in New York State is necessary.
