Internal Medicine Physician

Join a dedicated team providing essential services to our nation's Veterans. This locum opportunity involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations in North Carolina. Ideal candidates will be working in their own office settings, contributing to a mission of support and care for veterans.

• Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Conduct primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete administrative tasks related to exam reports and necessary addendums.
• Work on a PRN basis, with the flexibility to choose between half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts.
• Collaborate with veterans in a respectful and supportive manner.

• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine is preferred.
• Background in orthopedic surgery or compensation and pension evaluations is a plus.
• Must possess a strong work ethic and commitment to quality patient care.

• Active and unrestricted medical license in North Carolina.
• Board certification in an applicable specialty is highly desirable.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Provide current home address for presentation requirements.
