Internal Medicine Physician

Join a dedicated team providing vital services to our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across multiple locations in Louisiana. This role offers flexibility with the option to work in your own office setting.

Current Openings Include:

• Fort Polk, LA - 2 days per week needed
• Pineville, LA - 2 days per week needed
• New Orleans - 3 days per week needed
• Slidell - 1 day per week needed
• Monroe - half day per week needed

We offer immediate onboarding with no prescribing or treatment involved, focusing instead on interview-based evaluations.

• Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
• Complete interviews and physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform assessments primarily based on patient interviews.
• Handle follow-up administrative work as required, within the system's framework.

• Proficiency in METs testing, respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
• Active and unrestricted full medical license in Louisiana.
• Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.

• Board Certified status preferred.
• Current home address must be listed for presentation.
