Position: Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner |
Description: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare services across various locations in North Carolina. This opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. The facility focuses on a streamlined approach to patient evaluation, ensuring high-quality care while maintaining a professional environment. Ideal candidates will be able to work from their own office as they contribute to this meaningful mission. Job Responsibilities: - Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative work related to exams and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis with flexibility for -day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Utilize your expertise in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Maintain thorough documentation and follow-up communication as required.
Qualifications: - Active and unrestricted full Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Must have a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products) for documentation and reporting tasks.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements: - Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
- AANP certification is required.
