Description: JOB TITLE: Fleet Mechanic II LOCATION: Santa Barbara Non-Exempt Full-Time Starting Pay $27.00 - $36.00 per hour. POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet Mechanic II, under limited supervision, performs preventive maintenance services, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on low to moderately complex issues and assists (Senior Mechanics) with more complex repairs to ensure the fleet is fully operational in support of daily operations. This position will work on all major systems to include air, electrical, engine, general, and hydraulic.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The role invests time in coaching and mentoring. Contributes to knowledge sharing in area of technical expertise. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and dirty. Required to put on protective outfits such as gloves, safety eyeglasses, safety footwear, coveralls, and hardhat.
