Facility:

This regional healthcare facility is a vital medical center serving the Danville community and surrounding areas. The facility features a dedicated pediatric unit with 6 beds and provides comprehensive care services including emergency, labor and delivery, and specialized pediatric care in a collaborative environment.

Opportunity: PALS-Pediatrics

This is an urgent need for immediate coverage starting June 16, 2025 on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have an active VA license with a clean history to facilitate emergency privileging. Physicians must be board certified or board eligible.

Job Details:

• 24-hour call coverage (7am-7am), approximately 15 days per month


• Attend all newborn deliveries and provide C-section coverage


• Respond to ED consults and facilitate patient transfers when necessary


• Admit patients to the pediatric unit as needed


• Preferred skills include newborn and pediatric ventilation management, intubation, central and arterial line placement


• Required skills include umbilical venous catheter (UVC) placement


• Additional preferred skills: lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, needle pneumothorax decompression, and interpretation of X-rays and EKGs


• PALS certification required

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice coverage included.
