Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects.






We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team at Air Squared, a leading manufacturer of oil-free scroll compressors. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and expanding our market presence. This role requires:



  • A deep understanding of oil-free scroll compressor technology

  • The benefits of oil-free scroll compressor technology compared to other positive displacement technology

Total Compensation: $160.000 - $210,000 / year, based on qualifications and experience

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:






1. Market Expansion & Strategy:



  • Identify new business opportunities, including untapped markets and strategic partnerships


2. Sales Growth:



  • Achieve or exceed sales targets through proactive lead generation, prospecting, and deal closure.

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective execution of sales strategies and customer acquisition plans.


3. Customer Relationship Management:



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand needs, provide product recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.



4. Product Knowledge & Expertise:



  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and applications.

  • Work with the engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions to meet customer requirements.



5. Market Analysis:



  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Provide regular reports and insights to the management team on market dynamics and business performance.



6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:



  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and R&D teams to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.

  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance the company's visibility.



Business Development Manager Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and technical background, MBA is a plus.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the manufacturing sector, preferably compressors or related equipment.

  • Strong knowledge of compressors, their applications, and market dynamics.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

  • Willingness to travel extensively for business purposes.
