Note: This position will be in-office M-F in Irving, TX
Supervise a team of paralegals, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks. Coordinate with Senior Attorney on case strategy and complex legal issues. Review 20+ applications weekly before submission. Prepare for and attend Master Hearings, handling two to eight hearings weekly. Draft and file legal motions (e.g., Motions to Recalendar, Motions to Withdraw, Motions to Consolidate, Motions to Change Venue, Motions to Terminate). Coordinate with DHS for joint motions as needed. Meet with clients to discuss updates, changes in strategy and challenges regarding their case. Represent clients during USCIS appointments. Conduct case reviews, monitor deadlines, and maintain daily communication with paralegals. Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to, and in good standing with the bar in any state and/or Puerto Rico. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in immigration, removal proceedings, and deportation. Leadership and people management skills Strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities Ability to multitask and manage high-volume caseloads Proficiency in legal software and tools Strong writing, reading, and comprehension skills Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
