Description: Description: Systems for Public Safety, Inc. (SPS) is a Ford QVM automotive "up-fitter" and maintenance facility dedicated to serving police and fire fleets. We upfit vehicles for cities and counties all over Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. We are looking for an experienced general mechanic with diagnostic/electrical skills (to include OBD1/OBD2/CAN diagnostic tools) and a desire for a new challenge to join our team! Job entails vehicle maintenance including repairs, brakes, tires, suspension and technical systems on all makes/models of police fleet vehicles/fire trucks, command rigs and occasionally ambulances. 12V Electrical experience is a plus as all vehicles will have aftermarket equipment/ lighting installed. Mechanics do light repair work for emergency lighting such as light head replacement, speaker replacement, post collision replacement to push bumpers and equipment removal.
