The teachers will support each other by following the lesson plan and caring for the young children in the CDC. All Child Development Staff care for young children by following a lesson plan, supervising playtime, leading lessons, and following the curriculum daily tasks such as hand washing, singing, and playing. The successful candidate will be a joyful, creative, experienced educator who is able and ready to commit to the ideals expressed in the Hockaday. They will have training, background, and experience in early childhood education. Genuine appreciation and respect for young children, knowledge of the milestones of their developments, and the ability to work effectively with parents are essential. In addition, the position requires energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, patience, a sense of humor, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues both in the CDC area and in the School as a whole.
