Director of Physical Rehabilitation Opportunity in Northeastern California






The physical therapy departmentis seeking a full-time Director of Rehabilitation. This Director would oversee the physical therapy department in a working-director capacity and guide the overall direction of the facility. Expectations would include influencing critical decisions for MMC expanding services and being an integral part of the organizational leadership team.






The Director of Rehabilitation would oversee a team of physical therapists and office workers. The team would include full-time and part-time employees, as well as some locum physical therapists. Supervisory Responsibilities would include managing budgets, approving department expenditures, disciplining staff, participating in leadership team meetings, and advising members of administration on strategic planning objectives and other organizational decisions that should be considered.

Responsibilities:


Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders


Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and function


Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery


Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals


Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records






Requirements:


Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program


Current California Physical Therapy license


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Ability to work independently and as part of a team
