Description: The Payroll Manager ensures the integrity and timeliness of our weekly and biweekly payroll to sustain our employee satisfaction, accountability, and overall growth of the company. This role is responsible for working in conjunction with the Payroll Administrator in all facets of payroll and reporting as well as acting as a subject matter advisor to all employee inquiries regarding payroll. Through excellence in execution, problem solving and process improvement, branch management and employees can focus on their essential duties of selling and delivering services without unnecessary distraction. What a day is like: The Payroll Manager ensures the integrity and timeliness of our weekly and biweekly payroll to sustain our employee satisfaction, accountability, and overall growth of the company. This role is responsible for working in conjunction with the Payroll Administrators in all facets of payroll and reporting as well as acting as a subject matter advisor to all employee inquiries regarding payroll. Through excellence in execution, problem solving and process improvement, branch management and employees can focus on their essential duties of selling and delivering services without unnecessary distraction. Essential Functions of the Role: Process and administer all facets of multi-state weekly and biweekly payroll for 2000 employees/over 80 locations/and over + 30 States (and growing) using UKG Workforce. Generate and develop management and payroll-related reports using UKG BI and Excel Process all mandatory and voluntary deductions including 401(k), flexible spending, garnishments etc. Track benefit accruals and balances to ensure accuracy Manage online time clock system Review and ensure accuracy of timesheets Process prevailing wage reporting Provide customer service in a timely manner to payroll inquiries from operating branches and employees Coordinate the setup of direct deposit Assist with processing certified payroll Research guidelines and regulations in operating states to ensure compliance Provide customer service in a timely manner to payroll inquiries from operating branches and employees Partnering with the Payroll Administrators to identify opportunities for process improvement (supporting the companys Continuous Improvement culture) by eliminating non-value add activity and/or leveraging technology, analyze, and implement accordingly Assist with audit requests as required Any other tasks as deemed necessary by management What kind of person are we looking for: College degree preferred 3 - 5 years of related experience High proficiency with Microsoft Office Knowledge of UKG, Ulti-Pro or Kronos a plus Knowledge of prevailing wage a plus Attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize, recognize and meet deadlines Ability to maintain integrity of confidential information A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with varied responsibilities Why you might love working here: Youll work alongside and help lead an energetic team that works hard and plays hard Were growing as an organization and position offers growth potential for the individual We offer a competitive salary and benefits, including health, vision and dental, paid time off and paid holidays, 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, continuing education reimbursement, and more!
