Job brief
EverLine Coatings, a rapidly scaling commercial service franchise brand is looking for a reliable, integrity-focused and proactive Accounting Assistant to assist with financial management activities; including, but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end closing procedures.


The ideal candidate will work closely with the Accounting Manager to produce accurate financial records through revenue management, billing and additional clerical duties.


This is a hybrid role and will have the ability to work remotely from a home office, as well as in the Houston office after 30 days of employment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Performs basic office tasks, such as answering emails/phone calls, process incoming mail, and data entry
Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department
Manages accounts receivable collections process
Work effectively with members of other departments to identify, research and resolve issues
Able to professionally respond in a timely manner to inquiries and requests from customers and vendors.
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are coded to the appropriate GL accounts
Other duties as assigned and as deemed appropriate.


QUALIFICATIONS


High School Diploma or equivalent - Required; Associates Degree - preferred


Strong computer proficiency and experience working with Google Workspace and other Cloud-based applications.


Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
Previous experience with Quickbooks Online is a bonus
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Strong technical and computer skills, especially Excel
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills


WORKING CONDITIONS


Must be physically able to lift up to 25 pounds.
This is a hybrid position - alternating between the Houston office and remotely after 30 days of employment
Business operations Monday through Friday
Maintain a valid Driver's license
