Description: We are seeking a Plant Foreman for a Direct Hire client based in Ferndale, WA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Plant Foreman will work closely with teams to ensure safe, quality, on-time, and on-budget production, assembly, storage, and shipping.
This position offers full benefits, including PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k at an established company with no scheduled down seasons or travel involved!
Pay for this role is $28 - $35 hourly, depending on experience.
The Plant Foreman will be responsible for running safety huddles with leads at the start of each shift to cover pertinent safety issues and goals for the day, getting a snapshot of the workforce, and escalating if needed.
Responsibilities:
Work with General Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager, Casting Leads, and QC to provide positive feedback during Job review and Safety meetings.
Learns and applies safety rules and techniques, including ISO9000 standards.
Coordinates with the Production Manager to help oversee preventive maintenance throughout the plant with equipment and batch plant in mind.
Provides oversight with effective interdepartmental communication to aid in the workflow from production to storage.
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5 years of construction experience working with concrete (civil or commercial preferred)
Construction Supervisor experience preferred.
Reading ability to understand and follow sketches and diagrams
Math ability sufficient to understand dimensions, measurements, and add/subtract/divide/multiply all units of measure
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear
Regularly lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Lift and/or move up to and more than 100 pounds using teamwork or machinery occasionally
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
