Senior SailPoint Security Engineer
$100-133K +bonus

As an Information Security Operations, Senior, you will be a key part of the team that supports several enterprise tools and systems that are a backbone for many of the critical applications and business processes in support of the Information Security Program. You will also strive to ensure and enhance the availability, reliability and accessibility of Information systems and tools through a cost effective standardized support model. This will include the Information Technology (IT) department's vision and alignment to the business objectives and strategy, present IT's identity within the business model, and carry IT's vision of technology roadmap and partners in strategic direction for vendor management and product roadmaps. Potential tasks include supporting and maintaining existing Information Security platforms and the designing, implementing, and directing of new technologies.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Security Operations

  • Support Identity & Access management (IAM) systems and to provide tool administration support
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary
  • Installation and configuration of IAM tools such as Oracle Identity Manager, SailPoint IdentityIQ, Radiant Logic, CyberArk etc
  • Troubleshoot and support IAM tools such as Oracle Identity Manager, SailPoint IdentityIQ, and Radiant Logic, CyberArk etc. applications and systems
  • Augment production support team to ensure 24/7 coverage and operations. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice


  • Coordinate with other support teams to ensure issues impacting tools and systems are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain business relationships with individual contributors as well as management.


  • Creating various structured and ad-hoc communications scaled to different audiences on both technical and non-technical topics.
  • Draft technical installation, configuration and customization specification documents
  • Assist the Information Security Operations Manager by providing briefings and production support to senior executives
  • Execute daily ad-hoc tasks or lead small projects as needed.


  • Bachelors Degree with a technical major such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, 5-7 years of professional IT experience, with at least 3 years of information security experience.
  • Experience with Security products in a senior role including experience with policy configuration, application integration and firmware deployment.
  • Experience with administrating, implementing and supporting SailPoint (Identity IQ) based Identity and access management solutions.
  • Experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache administration.
  • Experience with developing and deploying connectors.
  • Understanding of SailPoint, OIM 11g specific database administration.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Java and SQL with an ability to fix issues identified in logs and other error messages.
  • Must have ability to troubleshoot any system failures, identify root cause and fix issues, ensuring the availability and integrity of the system.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Unix commands, and other Scripting languages.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills with both Business/Management and Technical/Engineering resources.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with implementing the Oracle Identity Management (OIM) 11g solution and Oracle Entitlement Server (OES) will be a huge plus.
  • Experience with implementing, administrating and supporting CyberArk .
  • Understanding of server/file encryption technology, encryption key management and information security policy.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with Windows and Linux Server support and Systems Administration.
  • Experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of concepts such as LDAP, Virtual Directory, Meta Directory, and LDIF is desirable.
  • CISSP or Security+ certification will be a plus.
