SMASH - Save Money and Stay Healthy - is an exciting new app that gives 13 to 24 year olds money off the healthier food options at the places they like to eat, including fast food chains, restaurants, supermarkets, sandwich bars and coffee shops. In this post-COVID world, we want young adults to have easier, cheaper access to healthier options across all parts of the food environment.
The brainchild of ex-KFC board member Chris Holmes, ably assisted finance whizz Mark Currie, and nutritionist Jenny Rosborough, and with Ella's kitchen founder Paul Lindley as Chair, SMASH has attracted financial backing from Guy's & St Thomas' charity and support from Bite Back 2030, along with a number of private investors.

SMASH - Save Money And Stay Healthy
SMASH is seeking an experienced, courageous, innovative and results-oriented marketer to drive user acquisition and rapid adoption of our SMASH app. Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, you'll create and bring to life campaigns that convert, engage and retain 13-24 year old "SMASHers" through various digital channels but with a strong emphasis on Content, SEO, Paid Advertising (Social Media, PPC and OOH), Social Media, and Email. You will unlock doors, find innovative ways to tell our story and ensure we get amazing value in the process!
You'll take ownership of our SMASHing Marketing Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns that promote SMASH as well as our partners' healthier food options. Managing a part time Social Media Assistant (to be recruited via the Kickstart scheme), you'll ensure that our strategy is being delivered on time and budget, is in line with our SMASH brand guidelines and to an exceptional standard. As it's a small team, you'll be both strategic and fully hands-on, so you'll need to be able to wear both hats depending on the challenge and opportunity.
The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
SMASH is a virtual organization, and so the role could be based anywhere you happen to be, with occasional travel to London. In time we expect to have real (old school) offices where you should expect to commute to for 2-3 days a week, and these will likely be based around South London, the A3 & the South East of England.
o 6-7 years' organic and paid social strategy, to include planning, buying and reporting on results
o B2C brand experience (experience of hospitality, food tech and /or B2C apps all a plus)
o Experience of routinely owning and managing budgets in excess of ss25k per campaign
o Proven track record of effectively creating, executing and continually optimizing successful paid campaigns
o Results orientated professional used to working towards specific media KPIs
o Experience targeting Gen Z on social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat
o Demonstrate ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROI
o Management of social media accounts and multi-channel marketing content generation
o Experience with App Store advertising and / or App Store Optimisation is a plus!
o Experience working at an agency with multiple clients would be an asset
o Experience within a fast-paced environment
o Content creation tools / skills will be an advantage (photoshop, indesign, video editing etc)
o Strong knowledge of social media scheduling tools (Sprout, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc a plus) and MS office, and cloud creative software suite.
o Knowledge of Google Analytics a plus!

o Excellent project management and planning skills, including an ability to multi-task and move projects forward in a complex and rapidly evolving environment.
o Exceptional ability to listen, adapt and communicate cross-functionally

o Personable and able to develop good working relationships - both in the team and with brand and agency partners
o Results-oriented with the ability to prioritise deliverables and ability to analyse data
o A passion for food and the wider health and nutrition industry
