Position: Kitchen Porter


Working for Riverside South Downs is more than a job; it is a lifestyle!

Spend the summer season enjoying the South Downs National Park where we are passionate about sharing the great outdoors.

You will of course be working hard, but the work is enjoyable and rewarding.

You must be physically fit as we are very busy through the Summer season.

Some previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given.

You will be a confident, friendly, outgoing character, have a good eye for detail, and pride yourself on upholding our high standards. You will be able to work on your own initiative in a busy environment, within a team looking to create a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

ss Ensuring our crockery, cutlery & the cutlery are spotless.

ss Ensuring our kitchen team have clean equipment to prepare the menu.

ss As part of the kitchen team, you may also be asked to help with the preparation of our vegetables and other foods.

ss Maintaining high food hygiene levels while always adhering to food safety regulations.

ss Following duties and responsibilities given to you by the chef or duty manager.

ss Notify the duty manager if cleaning stocks are running low.

ss At the end of service, the pot wash area to be cleaned in preparation for the next day.

ss Cleaning kitchen floor and emptying bins.

Minimum age: 16

Hours of work: Daytime shifts only to include weekend days and bank holidays.
