To develop, implement and manage a strategic view of the IT systems and infrastructure within the division to support the board in their Vision for the business, and to drive optimal efficiency and a lowest cost to operate. Being part of the front-line customer/supplier focus offering, identifying and delivering appropriate cost effective, secure solutions bringing added value to both our customers, and the business. Liaising with the BUKI IT Team, and our IT suppliers, to assist in the implementation of IT solutions, as required. Responsible for delivery of pragmatic, high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Day to day management of the IT systems and IT Security
• Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for all IT systems (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, etc.)
• Liaising and instructing our third-party IT suppliers
• Review of current applications within the business for:
• Best practice, functionality gaps, underutilised functionality
• Available product upgrades, modules that would enhance or make our business more efficient
• Investigate new technology and innovation to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Strategic analysis of local systems
• Support for local Warehouse Management Systems and e-commerce platforms
• High Level advice on ERP issues - Direction on resolution
• Expenditure programme reviews
• Local order queries - 1st & 2nd line support for query analysis WMS & ERP
• Interface maintenance - Daily analysis of WMS and ERP interfaces
• Local BI and reporting
• Infrastructure documented with all configuration and support details
• Scoping, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of local systems
• Supporting the business by being a trusted advisor for all local IT and customer/supplier facing matters
• Adherence to, and liaison with Group Audit, and the BUKI IT Security Manager requirements and standards
• Third-party vendor, hardware and software relationships as appropriate
• Outlining a clear plan for ongoing end-user training

Accountabilities:
• Development of the IT Infrastructure and IT Security strategy, ensuring its fit and compliance with our IT Vision and Strategy
• Ensuring local IT systems are developed and maintained to the highest possible level
• Delivering tasks and programmes, on time, on cost, to high quality standards
• Meeting SLA performance
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation and standards
• Follow department policies and procedures and assist in the implementation of new processes
• Sharing of knowledge with other team members and other stakeholders
• Ensuring quality standards are adhered to by self and fellow members of the team
• Ensuring system down-time in all divisional sites is minimised or if practical negated

Together with the management team, sets objectives, establishes priorities and develops plans. Arranges work schedules and prioritises work to meet deadlines. Seeks clarification and approval where appropriate before commences new projects or working methods. Proposals to be prepared and presented as working documents for senior management review with enclosed benefits analysis on a monthly ongoing basis within an annual planning horizon. Implement approved proposals, managing functional input, where appropriate.

Additional desirable skills and experience:
• Industry and domain knowledge relating to OpCo operations
• Relevant IT qualifications e.g. Microsoft qualifications, etc.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the operational ITIL Service Management framework
• Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, etc.
