Health & Safety Co Ordinator - McGill's Bus Service Ltd

McGill's Bus Service are Scotland's largest privately owned Bus Company, employing around 800 staff across depots in Coatbridge, Greenock, Johnstone and Inchinnan depots.

A vacancy has arisen for a permanent Health & Safety Co Ordinator based at our Inchinnan depot. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in increasing and promoting safety awareness, improving compliance, decreasing workplace incidents, and building an organisational culture for Health & Safety, by ensuring Business and partner engagement with Health & Safety performance, risk management and methodology and culture.

Within this highly visible role, the successful candidate must be able to develop and enhance safety practices to support the efficient and effective Health and Safety skills and behaviours within the Company.

Person Specification

Excellent people skills and communication skills (verbal and written)

Able to work on own initiative and also work effectively as part of a small team.

Ability to prioritise and manage time and work well under time constraints.

Excellent computer skills required - MS office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Successful applicant must possess a NEBOSH general certificate and have detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation

Must hold a current driving licence. This role will be based at our depot at Inchinnan however regular travel to and from other depots is a necessary part of this role.

Excellent salary on offer - dependent on experience.

This role can also be considered on a Part Time basis for the right candidate
