Position: Financial Markets Support Engineer/2nd shift


  • This is a 2nd shift role, 3:00 pm-12:00 midnight, Sunday thru Thursday
  • Prestigious Global Financial Institution is currently seeking a 2nd shift Financial Markets Support Engineer. Candidate will provide first level and support and resolving customer issues related to APIs, trading and features/function. Candidate will provide timely and professional outbound communications servicing the Trade Desk email queues and providing customer phone support.


    API Certification testing
    Logical port creation and modification of default settings
    Provisioning internal/external user web tool access
    Testing/understanding changes to systems and functionality prior to deployment

    Trading Support
    Support sales team with data/order type behavior requests
    Service manual Cancel Order from TPHs
    Futures Settlement Price Verification
    Service and Support Block Trade and ECRPs
    Trade reviews
    Voluntary price adjustment management
    Clearing/trade bust/adjust support
    Data mining and research

    Operational System Monitoring

    Perform daily system startup/shutdown checks
    Monitor exchange systems and keep dashboards green
    Futures Audit Logs queue (automated procedural tracking system)
    Auction/Rotation monitoring
    Futures Product Management (ie creation, maintenance, replacement, validation, and de-listings of new products as well as complex instruments)
    Ad hoc project assignments


    Equivalent of Bachelor's degree or higher
    Ability to work Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM CT.
    Ability participate in weekend testing as required
    Two to five years' experience in a securities related or technical support position
    Proficiency in Windows and Linux desired
    Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills
    Vigorous desire to learn trade technology and to be an Futures SME
    Ability to work well in a dynamic team oriented environment
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
