Position: Cyber Software Engineer

There currently exists the opportunity for tenacious Cyber Software Engineers to work on the full lifecycle development from analysis, through development and testing to delivery of specialised cyber capabilities.

The customer requirements for this team are highly varied, often requiring bespoke solutions to challenging problems over a wide range of projects. The team is collaborative and driven, supportive as well as allowing you the autonomy to stamp your name. Dependant on the project, there will be the opportunity to demonstrate technology to customers.

You must take pride in developing high quality software, frequently developed in a multi-platform environments drawing on a broad base and knowledge of system level computer operations and architecture.

The most important skills required are;
• C, Python.
• System level programming in Unix / Linux / Mac OS X.
• Application level programming on Linux/Windows
• Computer and Network security.
• Good software engineering skills (development practice, use of standard tools and documented design).

This role would be suited to an experienced graduate looking for their next career opportunity following their first role after university or a more experienced professional seeking a new challenge.

You will be degree level qualified within an ICT subject and have a real desire to think outside the box. This is a very exciting area within Roke and as such there is real career progression and you will be working at the forefront of cyber technology.

Please Note: Due to the customer base, you will be required to undertake DV clearance to an SIA grade.
