Position: Account Manager



The Account Manager plans, coordinates and directs the support service delivery on client accounts. This position takes the lead role in client interaction ensuring client satisfaction and providing account direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage defined support services including planning, development, implementation and maintenance for one or more accounts.
  2. Meet or exceed account objectives for service standards and turnaround times
  3. Negotiate any gap between client objectives/timelines and Company's capabilities to result in favorable solution for all parties
  4. Facilitate effective and appropriate communications between client and fulfillment team
  5. Assure contract documentation and information is up to date and files are maintained
  6. Provide escalation point for clients and fulfillment team; manage client issues
  7. Communicate information about client to relevant areas within the organization
  8. Define and review measurement systems to accurately monitor and report performance metrics to client; work closely with IT department to meet clients' technical needs and to develop/enhance database structure for optimum reporting and marketing objectives
  9. Coordinate on-site visits by client, including agenda preparation, top-line review of client services with senior management, evening entertainment and all travel arrangements as required
  10. Work with appropriate departments to develop and provide pricing and quotations as needed
  11. Conduct regular meetings and maintain ongoing communication with department heads related to specific client offerings, ie: rebates, POD, etc.
  12. Delegate and distribute assignments appropriately through coordination with Resource Center Manager
  13. Generate monthly client invoice(s)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Project/Promotion Management as needed
  • Provide client-specific training for fulfillment team
  • Coordinate client needs and solutions through Director of Business Development and Project Manager as needed
  • Interface with clients' third-party providers as required
  • Re-align priorities to provide support to Account Management team as required

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Intermediate or above level of skill with popular software packages, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Superb relationship-building skills
  • Able to adapt to an evolving marketplace
  • Able to work with individuals of various levels and react to difficult situations appropriately
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms
