Description: Busy Opthalmology practice in the Bronx, NY is looking to hire a Full-Time Medical Scribe.
Job Description:
To facilitate patient flow by assisting doctor in recording and memorizing historical points clarified by the doctor and recording the physical exam.
Required Qualification:
Must be Bilingual (Spanish &English)
Must be willing and eager to learn many aspects of ophthalmology as they may be asked to interpret and/or explain certain disease processes
Must accurately and efficiently use electronic prescribing software
Must have upbeat attitude and respond well to criticism
Must be courteous and respectful to patients and other staff despite the fast paced environment
Excellent computer and data entry skills
Must be able to record date quickly and efficiently
Good spelling skills are important
General Ophthalmic knowledge/experience is plus+
Knowledge of computer server and cloud based systems is plus+
